Forehead Lift

Brows can droop for two reasons. The first is genetics, some are born with naturally drooping skin on the forehead. The second is age, which, combined with gravity and other factors, can cause the brow to droop, which can contribute to a general "tired" or "old" look. A brow lift can correct this by anchoring the skin of the forehead. The Face Institute aims to perform forehead lifts with as natural a look as possible. Patients of the old style of forehead lifts frequently were plagued by "cat eyes" or a chronic surprised look. Instead, The Face Institute performs a newer more subtle type of face lift.

During the procedure incisions are made just below the eyebrows and sutures are placed to gently lift the brows into a more natural postion. Scars are covered by the eyebrows and nearly invisible. This procedure requires three days mandatory down time. Afterward there may be swelling which lasts from one to four weeks, which does not preclude the patient from returning to normal activities. Your surgeon can discuss details and answer any questions you might have about this procedure. Schedule a consultation today.
